My EDC's a few years ago, and my EDC's today. Both pictures are a 45, 380, and a 38. Can you pick out the plastic? Not too many years ago, I scoffed at plastic guns.

How do you like the Ruger .38 spl. I may have a chance to buy one slightly used for a good price.

I like it quite well. At about a pound loaded it's easy to carry. The DA trigger is a little heavy, but it's very smooth. If I had to guess I would say a bit over 8 pounds. (Never had it on a trigger pull scale.) The single action trigger I would guess is about 5 pounds with no take up or over travel, just a good clean break. It's accurate, but I usually shoot shot shells through it. It gets used mostly as a fishing and around the farm gun.

I am going to buy another one just as soon as Ruger makes one in 22 long rifle. I'm not interested in the LCR, it's got to be the LCRX. I like my revolvers to have an exposed hammer.
