In a hat tip to the continued acceptance of the Hi-Point carbine series, a major gun reviewer has done a serious field test of the Model 995 TS, which was posted online this week.

If you aren't familiar with Hickok45, he is a Tennessee-based gun reviewer, has a huge fan base to include almost 300,000 Facebook followers and 1.7 million subscribers on his YouTube channel and his videos have half a billion (with a B) views, which is a pretty big deal when it comes to social media presence.

Therefore, the fact that he is running an in-depth half hour on the 995 is sweet to help dispel naysayers and gun snobs.

However, he doesn't pull any punches so be prepared for some (small) rocks thrown at the brand but overall, he tends to really like the 995 and can shoot the heck out of it.

"Shoots well," he says. "I feel like I can hit anything with it, really, feels pretty good."

As a bonus, he does a fairly good and short fieldstrip (starting at about the 14-minute mark) which, if that is still a mystery to you, is welcome.
