I'm looking for a good HD shotgun (can't afford $400 for a Remington 870 7 shot). I was gonna get a Saiga but they are way to friggin much. The dude at one of the local gunstores said that he could get me a 500 Cruiser one for about $280. Is that good or bad? I don't know a lot about pricing shotties, I mostly deal with rifles.
My 500 Cruiser ran me 300+ tax. So I believe you are right in the Price range. As always as soon as you buy it you will here of better deals else were. I did the milsurpstuff.com, and put a few extras on. SWEET. I think youl be satisfied. Pistol grip will kill your wrist but ho, so fun.
Sweet. If my girlfriend will let me stash it at her house I think I'll go put it on order tomorrow. My parents find all my firearms disturbing and have banned me from buying anymore...at least that they know about.
I've found them for less...why not just get a used 500 or maverick 88 for like 150 bucks? then accessorize it with a pg, light, side carrier, etc and still spend less? I recently bought a Hatsan Escort Aimguard and have been very pleased with the performance so far, seems very well built Couple others to consider Norinco 870 clone NEF Pardner pump Charles daly pump
I'd get a used 500 if I could find one. Nobody around here has the things, and to drive to the closest place that does costs almost as much by the time I pay for gas. I really want something with a 7 round tube, otherwise I'd just use my grandad's old Browning semi-auto.
Hit your local pawn shops/auction houses and find a cheap 500, then the mag extension, light mount and still come out cheap. I believe CenterFireSystems carries just about every add-on you could want on your 500. Just my .02
Thanks for the advice. I'll call around and see if there are any used ones within 20 miles or so from here.
Mine is a 7+1... And I love it... I think if the mag tube and barrel do not stop at the same point, it just throws off the sexy look of a pistol grip pump. To be honest, for what it's intended use is, more ammo and less barrel are perfect. (I ain't talking zombies either, but 2-legged snakes!)
that sounds about right. i paid 300 for a persuader/cruiser [persuader with a pistol grip in the box]. it's a great weapon.
There's a gun show here on the weekend of the 31st. I think I'm gonna go over there and see what they have. If they don't have one I may just go ahead and get a shiny new one. I'm getting to work 40 hour weeks now that school is finally over, so I'll have a substantial amount of extra income.
I guess everything depends on your location, but around here I can easily pick up a used maverick for 150 along with a bunch of other pumps. A week ago the shop had several stevens and the like pumps for 130 or so. But yea you aren't going to find a used cruiser 500 for 150
