Is it possible to put a wood stock on a 4095?

I had my 4095 at the range today and it was hot and I was out in the sun for a good couple of hours and I noticed that I could bend the stock at the end of the receiver on top more so than when it is in a cooler temperature. Kind of had a bendy feel to it so you could see a visible gap between the stock and receiver. Got me to thinking that a wood stock would solve that problem. If weight was a concern a guy could do a cut out of the butt stock like the Tabuk AK. It is possible to mount a wood butt stock to the 4095 or 995 for that matter?

as far as anyone around here knows, no wood stocks have ever been made for the 995 or 4095. youre stuck with what you have as te ATI doesnt fit the 40 either.

Hey cool, you're from Mobridge. I kind of figured that but I wonder if a guy could adapt a stock to fit? I'll have to take my apart and see what the stock looks like where it goes into the receiver. Thanks for the reply.
I say GO FOR IT ! Think of the options if it works and the personalization that could be done.
If you have some wood working skills...I say go for it. Try making a stock out of two 2x4s. Let us know if you do make one. ;)

Do not pine. Use a fine wood like oak, cherry, or walnut. I have no idea how to make something like this, but I do believe that if you were to make it out of 2X4's these nicer woods can be purchased in oak or walnut at Menard's.
I'm sorry, I meant was to start out on cheap wood first. I would hate to mess up a nice piece wood. ;)
the biggest problem is locating things like the magazine release, trigger pins etc in a wood housing. unless you chopped up the original stock to retain the pistol grip housing for all these critical components, al of that would have to be built into the wooden part.

I'm "guessing" he meant leaving the handgrip and cutting it off at the back of the receiver and just replacing the shoulder stock ???????
Pete, I was just thinking that same thing. Hmmmmmmm........................
A wooden stock on a hi-point would be truly epic. I would love to see this.
I always wanted to cut the forearm off my 995 and mount a thompson 1928 style front pistol grip. until I sold my 995 to huggy :'(
Great response guys. I was thinking of just replacing the rear stock and leave the pistol grip. The front lower handguard would be another one to consider replacing. I needed a project to work on so this just fits the bill.

yeah, that stuff doesn't grow on trees you know..
Instead of a solid wood stock, could you cover a old style stock in veneer? Does anyone have a old stock they want to sacrifice??
I have and old SKS stock that is my new project. I will post pics during the project.
