Just wondered if anybody made a 1st gen adapter for 995. Barrel would be a real bitch to thread. Thanks

They had no threads to “adapt”. You’d have to clamp something on, and THATS a disaster waiting to happen.
But you CAN thread the barrel, it just takes a complete disassembly, and if you mess it up, you won’t have a tight fitting barrel when you’re done.😉

I've had mine apart but, can't remember how the barrel is put on. Is it pinned or what? And how hard is it to take off and put back on?

IIRC, it’s pressed and pinned.

Sounds like a real "mother". I was wondering because, I knew it would be hard to put the barreled receiver in a lathe, and turn to size and thread. I asked in first post about a threaded adapter. There's one on Ebay for 10/22 that could be drilled out for 9mm. It goes on with set screws. Thanks

The barrel is pinned onto the receiver. Here's a pic with the two pins removed. It comes out pretty easily.
