Your brother might have also put the sear in backwards; that will stop the slide from going back every time. Take off the right side grip, get a screwdriver of a pair of pliers and pull down on the sear pin. Once you've got it down far enough you can pull the slide back far enough to get the retaining pin out. (It helps a to have someone else helping you in the process.) Once you've got the slide off, turn the sear around, the "ramp" faces the barrel.My brother put the rod in but forgot to put in the recoil spring after cleaning my C9, now I can't get the slide back far enough to take out the pin to put the spring back in. Can anyone help??
