I took my new Jcp to the range this weekend and put 50 rounds through it well when i brought it home to clean it when i pulled back the slide the springs that pull the fire pin back make a real weird noise i don't know how to describe it but it sound like they one is catching but i not for sure when i cleaned it i took the slide off and cleaned it and lubed it up and still making the sound what should i do.

Should i see if they will send me new springs or do i have to send the whole gun back?

If so how do i contact them about it?

It might need some oil and/or needs to be broken in, mine don't make any weird noise, just a satisfying KA-CLICK!

my 995 and my 45 both make a funny noise probablu what your talkin about. i think it's the spring being compressed and it just needs to be worked over a with a few rounds.

Hello,

your new jcp need a brake in period, after a few more rounds it should work just fine.
