I don't know Shaner or the collector guy who got banned, but it seems like I missed some action on the forum by waiting to join.

Rach, if you go to Raton, don't go to McDonalds there. We drove 4 hours for some McRibs once and it was a disaster.

Was it closed due to new stricter decency/sensitivity rules or because it was fucking mind numbingly played out?
Useless, boring, repetitive, stupid, a waste of effort and bandwidth, etc and the new rules say we're good up to the line of obscene, offensive, and/or pornographic so...

Plus we now have an opt out NSFW filter to keep your content PG. I turned mine off...

I went to Raton once to pick up a new driver side front window for the suburban after I managed to mow a rock through it from 200ft away... through 2 chain link fences... and about a 6ft gap between the house and the trees...

As long as nobody jokes about pedos, rape, assault, race, religion, sexual orientation, sexual identity, height, weight, mental or physical handicaps, penis size or anything else deemed insensitive by the touchy feely new world order.

Old is when every time he posted your first thought was "Well that's not proper hunting attire."

And checking for trigger discipline, if the mag is in, proper grip, is the safety on...$5 says she gets slide/scope bit, etc...

Edit: I got to thinking, if you could send over a high res picture of it from straight above, I can probably size and print that so it's exactly 35.1mm tall and then work on comparing my model to it until I think it'll fit. The part is symmetrical when viewed from the side, yeah? Well, I guess it'd be view from the front or back when installed in the pistol.
Straight from above? How about I send you my spare and when you're done, you send it back to me. It's not perfect, the heel is chipped, but the rest of it's okay. PM me your address and I'll get it out to you.

One these is waaaay tight with 8 rounds, the other is a hair loose with 9. Even though the feed lips are weird looking, they both present rounds nose up at what looks like the correct angle. Find out on Monday.

Version 6 holds the mag in and all the rounds feed and eject. I have to used a flat blade screwdriver to get the mag out though. Do they drop free with the factory catch?

That's looking very good!
I have a mag that doesn't drop free, but... I haven't needed to use a screwdriver to get it out.
Does that same mag require persuasion to pull out without the mag catch?

Can you feel where it's dragging when you insert the mag? Give the long sides a pinch to make sure it's not that and just pay attention to how it feels in the way in. You might have to give it some love taps with a planishing hammer and block to flatten out any bows in the spine or front of the mags if it's out of shape. Could also be the magazine isn't square anymore for whatever reason.

I seem to remember both of them just falling out when I didn't have a mag catch, but I only tried briefly before I got to work on the printed catch. I'm going to pop it apart again and give that a try. If they drop, then I'll need to think the catch a hair for v7.

Edit: With the mag catch removed, both mags do fall out. I pulled .25mm out of the edge facing the mag to see if that fixes things. After that I just need to clean up the serrations in the thumb portion and then print in Nylon and see if the dimensions stay the same.

v8 of my design finally works. I did have to run the edge on a file to make it release the mag, and I have to fingernail them out, but once past the catch they're easy to pull out. Heading to the range tomorrow for real testing.

Here's a question: Do your catches latch to the base plate of the magazine, or to the little piece of the body on the rear? Mine grabs the body instead of the baseplate, but it seems to hold just fine and all of the rounds do feed when hand cycling.

It should latch to the base plate.
