This is my first Hi-Point and from what I read it looks like it is going to be a lot of fun to shoot. I'd like to know if there is any pre cleaning, de-greasing or any other procedure I need to perform before I go to the range. Also, any tips, tricks or suggestions would be welcomed.

Hi Joe, just load up the mags a day in advance, I tapped the bottom and the back of the mags two kind of wrack the bullets then go shoot it and have fun . Good luck

I always run a patch or snake down the barrel on new guns. When I bought my 4095 new it was wet all over the metal. It went straight to the range!

The .45 is my least favorite. Soon you will need a 995TS ;)

A quick clean wouldn't hurt. Don't need to strip it. Pull the mag, lock the breach open and blast it down with some RemOil.

The bullets come out the skinny end. Point that part away from your face.

Never shoot at full beer cans. Drink them first.

When your buddy says "Hey watch this", stand behind the car.

Never shoot at rocks, bowling balls or other solid objects. You must buy a Mosin Nagant first.

When your buddy says "It's not loaded", stand behind the car.

If you reload, save your brass. Otherwise, it makes a cool whistle when whipped end over end into the woods.

When your buddy says "The safety's on", stand behind the car.

Target practice is a good way to erase those harddrives Jared Fogle asked you to hold on to.

Some people can't handle the 45. They are called girly men. :)

I have another request for info:

I need a Picatinny lower rail for the 4595. Any recommendations?

A hp 45 is on my wish list. My c9 has no noticeable recoil, so thinking a 45 might not be too bad. Don't know if any other make would be as smoothe for me.
