The radio in my van doesn't work very well and I'm too much of a cheapskate to fix it. However for a short time or my drive home I can get the oldies station. Sometimes it's good stuff sometimes well not so much. Today on my way to pick up daughter from daycare I have it running and it's playing really old rockabilly called "Everyone Wants To Be My Baby." Just as I pull in suddenly it goes off and the song changes in to "Smoke on the Water." Just my luck. I'm going in to pick her up so I don't get to listen to most of it.

Have a local station that plays anything from the borth of country up to 80's rock... never know what the DJ's will cue up! And yes they still use a live DJ playing from a library of tens of thousands of 45's! Some of those 45's are worth big $$ now!

We used to have a radio station in Wichita that played everything from Hank Williams Sr., Hank Jr, Waylon, Willie, etc to Dylan, Woody Guthrie, the Carter Family, to the Beatles, Stones, and Hendrix, and everything in between! It was really cool - have never found another station quite like it!

I believe the radio itself is fine. However, it is the stock manufacturer issue radio. What I think the problem is, is that at some point someone broke the antenna line going in and I'm not sure where. Further after working on a modern vehicle behind the console, I swore to myself I'd never do it again. It's not like they were during the seventies or before! These new things Saint Mary and every one of the engineers who designed them you should be horsewhipped.

yeah but an aftermarket radio made in the last 10 years or so will have input jacks you can adapt to your phone or mp3 player and then who cares about the antena.

And it's got a cd player.

I'm still coming to grips with the fact that I'm part of the generation that will complain how cds sounded better than those dad blamed mp500 players, or whatever kids these days are using, the same way my dad b!tched at me about 8 tracks vs cds.

I still have a bunch of Cassette Tapes.

I'll be honest, I keep them around because SCOTUS has ruled that you can have an MP3 file of music which you've already legally bought so those tapes are proof that I own the right to have an MP3 of the songs on them which saves me having to purchase the album anew just to get that format.
