Wish I had a source for you. Anything after the P91.... 93,94,95 are all tough to find new recoil springs for.I would just call ruger ASAP and see what they have or get a tech on the phone and ask them what they would use as a substiture if they dont have any more..... they probably do.

Good thing is Ruger recoil springs are very good and the guns are over built. You probably dont even need it if there is not a malfunction issue. Ruger P series torture tests are legendary. They are almost impossible to kill. Its actually one of my very favorite designs for what it is intended. I like the 85/89/90 and 91s the most but they are all great pistols. Some of my main CCW carry pistols are P89s... and I am more of a Beretta guy.

Ruger will not sell those springs. Tried that. Nor talk about a substitute. You only get a new spring if you send the gun to them.
However, my gunsmith has correct spring stock and cuts to length. At least for now he has it.

Try a small role pin on that extractor pin
That was my solution as well. Worked like a charm.
I thought Waldorf put that "safety" there for aesthetics.

Me thinks I will stay with my Smith & Wesson's, Ruger's, and Glock's.
You're missing all the fun, Outlaw! Just look at this pic of L22 feed ramps.
Iff'n you buy yerself an L22, you get a free colonoscopy -without any anesthesia!

Now, feel free to s%;it post in the other thread if you would like, but out to respect to the poor adam who I believe moderates this section let's keep it all in one thread.
No. Adam isn't assigned to any one section, nor are there any sections that are the sole responsibility of a single staffer.

Adam did however request the creation of this section, chose the layout, and then painted a target on his back by accepting our offer to make him a staffer.

I dont understand your last statement. Why would he have a target on him for being a staff member?

L22 runs great as long as the pin holding the extractor claw does it's job... which it doesn't. Oh, yeah, and the mag is a POS.

But I've got them to work really good with a Titan II mag and a Phoenix HP22 barrel.

BTW, if you ever come across a Lorcin L9, you might get stymied trying to remove the slide. There's a button in the back that has to be pushed in, and then the slide lifts off kinda like a Hi-Point.

Adam, that l22 is glorious. I mean the clouds part, the beam of light comes through, and the heavens sing glorious. Seriously cool.

Also, thanks for the heads up.

They just work and keep on working. :)
You are a wise man, lol.

For me it's hard to track down what I find so appealing about these little zamark gems. Part of it is philosophical. They very much were a giant middle finger to gun grabbers after the 1968 ban of small imports.

Additionally I really dig and appreciate that they allow those who would otherwise be unarmed the ability to do so. Self defense is a fundamental human right.

Mechanically they are super neat. And as you have picked up, potentially a real challenge to problem shoot. I like a challenge and they are low cost enough to really try weird stuff out on.

I dunno man, it's also possible I've hit my head to many times, lol.

How bad was that barrel swap? Do the mags take much modifications?

Thanks!

Barrel needed a little turning down; the mag required some sanding on the sides and back. I was bored.

Adam,

Thank you! Good to know. Yes many of my mistakes....I mean adventures start from boredom. Idle hands and all that.

Edit. Jesus I'm bad at quoting. @adam01364
You don't need to @ if you're directly QUOTED and his post is in your response. He gets a notification already.
You only need to @ If you want him to see something otherwise. Basic responding you dont need it either
