What has the world come to?
I don't know, your links won't show anything.
Cell phone addiction will run it's course sooner or later. Just look at message boards. How many 20 somethings are on message boards compared to facebook, etc?
My Cell phone company just gave me a New Cell Phone! For free!
Now It's funny.
At first, I made the mistake of posting the html links in the photo brackets. Had to mod them.
The next generation.....
Is that SLOW, children texting?
Or, Slow children texting?
Either is likely today!
So, what can anyone tech learned tell me about an 'Alcatal Astro' cellphone...?
I looked up the specifications but, it's all Greek to me...
despite what some techie kids might tell you, the specs dont really matter that much. That is unless you use it to for extremes, in which you would already know it.
To me, phones and computers today are like tv sets - they all pretty much do more than you need and unless they are your hobby, any will do. Kinda like a Hi Point
If you dont game, the proc doesnt matter much. If you dont take a lot of pictures or movies, (or download them to your phone) the storage doesnt matter much. Phone calls, texting, internet and minor games all play fine on the cheapest phones...
That being said, I have the latest and greatest, because I like playing with them. I also look at it as the cost of keeping up in the tech business. Telling my future employers I am an MCSA in Windows 2000 doesnt do much here in 2015...
What are You saying? Is this a good cellphone or not?
Please elucidate what You've said.
I work for Alcatel. Let me pull the return hostory.
What are the major reasons for returns?
Is it because some folk can't play some games on them?
Does the video freeze up?
Does the 5 Megapixel camera not work?
Does it drop saved phone numbers?
Is it not processing information from the internet swiftly enough?
Are there problems with the screen? OS? Volume?
Please inform me why folk are returning these cellphones.
Damn man I will need to wait tell I get home to answer that. I am on my phone now. Short answer is I can only see returns for defects on my end. You would need the service provider info for your other questions.
As for the phone itself, it has less than 1/2 of 1% defect rate. It is an Ok low end smart phone, it will work for your average user . Think of it as a hi point phone. It will get the job done.
That's all I needed to hear!
*(Ain't got much time left. )
Most returns appear to be user inflicted such as dropped, water intrusion.
Are Smart Phones more susceptible to water damage?
I recently doused my current 3G network cell phone with Coca Cola. I rinsed the soda off with water from my faucet, shook it 'dry', disassembled it, and tossed it into a bowl of dry rice for two days.
It is continuing to function although it 'stutters' between actions.
I fear its time is short.
I've owned it for 5 years.
You're crackin me up in this thread!
I'm glad that someone besides me is happy!
Too bad about kirk...
