Paint will have to wait until it gets warmer!
Very NICE, Mark!
I'm hoping to get that set for my 4595
Thank you. There's a few tricks. Take your time. Had a great conversation with Jerry this morning and Melanie was a huge help when I ordered. Fast delivery.
Wow! Looks great!
Good for you. Not on my carbine...
Not my taste.
But your gun so have at it!
Looks good! I wish it was just a solid rail instead of an m lok system
I hear ya. I can't imagine what someone would use all that space for. I just wanted to be able to mount some offset backup sights and needed something at the muzzle.
Just received some Longshot stuff yesterday for my 4095. I may want the longer barrel shroud?
Maybe remove the ugly HP brake and move the pretty shroud up some
Maybe you could move the comp BACK?
I might be interested in that short shroud, Mel...
I need to adapt something to a different project
without spending a lot. Barrel Size is really close.
I raise you one, LEGOLAS!
Jerry said that the m-lok rail kit saved a lot of weight over a solid rail.
But there are solid rails of that length available, to bolt on to the M-Lok
if you desire. There are solid rails the same length as the HP rails, and
then what I believe should now be called "mid length" (maybe?) that
only extend out to the extent of the fore end of the HP issued carbines...
I was around for the evolution of these systems, watched it grow
It does look like a lot of weight and overkill, but offers a perfectly
flat and level platform for flip-up sights or whatever you want. I
am considering a set of flip-ups or 45* offsets, plus an ACOG style
optic (fixed zoom, IR*) or it could be incorporated with my original
"Short-Sight UTG+Stock Set" which would save even MORE WEIGHT!
But then I could go with a standard length tall rail (+.375") and not
have to cut, drill and tap the HP front sight
I like these sets because it gives so many OPTIONS!
PS: *IR = Illuminated Reticle... what did you think, infrared?
I have been called a wise ass before. Now I'll take that as a compliment!
Jerry makes some very cool stuff for HP's!
Only your mind, can limit the possibilities?
Tweaked that for you, MEL!
It seems Jerry has all the bases covered, I'm just saying get the ones
you like NOW, because I would suspect at a later date, he may delete
some older designs and create yet more new ones. But if he saves the
digital files (this is 100% CNC manufacture) he could make any older
ones. They will not be any cheaper than they are NOW, unless certain
designs become so popular that he mass produces them. He built me
a set of "custom" M-Lok rails for my MagPul MOE fore end, (AR-15)
but in that case it was simply tweaking existing data files, iirc. LSM
seems to be pretty busy now, hard to take production time and make
"custom" stuff for the one-offs. Business Realities creep in
