Here it is!
Suitable for "wet work"
Did you forget the pictures?
Uh mole, you forgot something. :bang:
(so it can fold and stow, w/o optic removal)
Sorry guys, I made the new thread, and was in a hurry to post the link to the
old thread. Frankly, I thought I would get back here and add pix before anyone
saw my omission!
That is funny gangsta mole.
There are no free rides or easy days on HPFF. You will be heckled at every turn...
Now for the build part...
1. All the little packs of rails and hardware, labeled and packed in bubble wrap!
(packing not shown)
2. Added my comment (in RED) RGR Spec "Mole Approved"
Jerry surprised me with that, I suggested it and he built it!
3. Plus, all the unpacked rails laid out and labeled, 3rd pic
I expect NO LESS!
Here's a couple shots I took of the S2K, no forend, for KLawson,
it looks like one of his "Ray Gun" models
BACK to the BUILD! (this went SO EASY!!! PROPS to Jerry and Melanie Arpaio!!!)
1&2 Mocking up the rails, there are a couple of places it will "fit" but I wanted the "best fit"
3. Installing the threaded brass inserts (these things ROCK!)
4. Shows how the rails are slanted for the taper of the forend of the S2K...
1. All Inserts in place, side rail holes drilled!
2. Side Rails ON
3. Side Rails front view...
That was pretty much it! The brass inserts will pull on thru when you install the
top and/or bottom rails, and seat in the recess Jerry machines into the bottom
of these FINELY MADE Rails! You can feel it bottom out, (Mole has done that a LOT!)
and then it's Done! I used the short side of the Allen wrench in the cap screw,
and the long side for turning. The nuts backing up the side rails were tightened
with a nut driver, I just pretty much gave it the "wrist twist" with no elbow, for torque.
The star washers dug into the back side of the plastic/poly nicely, just as I thought
it should. I then reassembled the two halves onto the S2K and took the final pix!
Most of those are at the top, but here is a couple more after I got it put back together.
I tried to get a used Sub today. Don't you hate it when people forget to take down their ad on Armslist?
I'd love to find another Suby in 9mm, and I'm not picky as to which mags it uses.
ANY of the non-gluck styles can be converted to any other style.
S&W>Beretta>Sig>S&W>Beretta>Sig>S&W... and the beat goes on...
I believe I would get the S&W mag catch, and LPS still had that Suh-WEET 5906
last I checked! With 4 mags, no less! A cool $420 then, prolly less now!
If Longshot had those rails in anodized black I would be sorely tempted to get some for my Sub2K.
Peace favor your sword,
they probably will Mole likes to be easily seen on the battle field did your see the MSR? Shiny barrel.............
THEY DO!!! I just didn't want to wait for the batch to return from the anodizer...
I'ma gonna do what Kirk suggested. Works very well! Already have the paint.
The "BLING-BLING" work best for display on the Forums, however...
PS: SAME PRICE, also, ADAM-0!!!
We WILL have them in anodized black in a couple of weeks. And we will also offer the longer 8" bottom rail, too.
