whats with all the "lost my guns in a tragic boating accident" posts ive been seeing? is it a running joke or what? ive tried searching but cant find an answer.

um yeah. its a "inside joke" by gun owners about what they will say when the feds come to confiscate thier guns.

Joke hell!
I was taking all of my guns fishing with me in the boat so i could clean them while I waited for bites, and I got knocked off balance when I was taking a leak off the side and before I knew it, the boat overturned and everything was gone.
I SWEAR!

ok thanks for all the replies.i thought it had something to do with gun confiscation and disowning them so they cant be taken away, just wasn't sure. of course now i feel like a moron but thats ok, its normal for me. :tongue2:
