As long as your having FUN, that is ALL that matters?
I just DON'T have the patience!

  3. That is gorgeous.
I would be shooting that baby single shot. until the other parts come in.

single shot AR also known as Commifornia/NY style.

Don't forget the Peoples Republic of New Jersey!!;)

Anyway, FP, that looks really nice. Keep taking your time and get it the way you want it. My rifles never are "Done, Done" because I keep tweaking them... so its kinda the same time wise, I just get to shoot it in between!!

Very nice! Do you know what the weight is gonna look like when you're done? What kind of shooting do you have planned for it?

    I have an AR-10
    I love it
  9. I am wondering, if you disconnect the gas block on these EBR's are they all 50 state legal?

    no mag caps?

Would it still work right is the question. I know how to assemble them... that's about as far as my knowledge goes, and that's with help from youtube lol.

I would think that the states in question would more or less ban it on looks rather than function anyway, and make you come up with those horrid looking stocks people have to use.
  12. I think it would work fine as a single shot, as in the old AK pumps you used to see in cali.

shoot, pull the slide ejecting and re setting the firing pin.
I beleive most legislation calls out semi auto rifles. i could be wrong.

very sweet. When I finish my 300 BLK upper this is the next build for sure. Hell, that's only about 200 more than I spent on my 5.56. I thought one would be way more.

    Check PSA for that bolt.

You can build one from there or buy one for under $800

not entirely sure on the weight just kinda wanted the parts i wanted, i am sure i will change my mind down the road and reconfigure it

the shooting basically comes down to i needed a third rifle for the deer hunt later this year and that put a rush on the project, my wife will carry her AR15, my mother in law will have my Ruger american and i built this one for me

PSA has awesome prices on there stuff and its good quality stuff as well, i have a few parts kits on my other builds from them

the reason i did not go to PSA for this build is that i am building this rifle to my own specific requirements and there parts do not fill my need for this build

I've heard mixed reviews on Century Arms products. Hard to tell how much of it is legitimate and how much of it is hearsay and bashing cheaper guns, but apparently their build quality and QC were truly atrocious on some builds.

I had an older Century Arms CETME awhile back, it was kinda rough. I didn't really give it a chance. I seen there were other FALS that would meet the need, so I moved on. Now, I have a Century Arms Zastava AK, it is a very good gun.

CIA Zastava NPAP is a beautiful rifle. I love mine also. What do they call it on classic firearms site? "The Cadillac of AKs"

Not sure if that is absolutely true but it is one hell of an AK.
