Saw it with Mrs Swaga saturday night.
I've been a fan ever since seeing the original late at night at a waaay to young and tender age.
I think my love for [email protected] cars and apocalyptic movies comes from Mad Max.
    #1 was simple and brutal
    #2 was bigger
    #3 I didn't like...

    and now #4!!!!

Whenever I think of TEOTWAKI I think of movies like Mad Max and The Book of Eli.
Fury Road took 14-15 years to make as 9-11 intervened, Mel Gibson had an epic meltdown, scheduling issues , studio delays, rain in the Australian desert for two weeks straight and another half a dozen things.

Put together there is maybe 10-15 minutes of dialogue in the movie so read a quick summary before you go so you have at least a vague idea about the story line. It is one big brutal visual assault on your senses.
Charlize Theron is hot and Max is well cast and off his rocker.

    The official trailers:

All the vehicles are real, no CGI:

    Roughly the short story:
Three despotic rulers in charge of Water, Fuel and Bullets.
Charlize's character is tasked with driving the war Rig on a run to the Fuel farm and the Bullet farm.
Halfway she veers off course and tries to make a run for it with 5 of the 'breeder wifes" she has stolen/liberated.
A massive war party is send after her.

I would have like a Mel Gibson cameo, but the cars alone made it badazzed.

Little factoid, the main baddie in this one is none other than the Toecutter himself!

Saw it today.... Liked it a lot... Pretty much a 2 hour action scene, but pretty cool.

Somehow I don't thinking hoarding .22's will be enough for TEOTWAKI.....ROFL

I'm also thinking they do some BA wrenching and fabricating in a post apocalyptic world.....

I saw this movie Sunday night. Thought it was a good flick but not awesome. The action was definitely there, and it was constant throughout, but the action and vehicle scenes almost seemed cheesy to me lol. It reminded me a lot of waterworld.

i don't think it's a feminism fluff piece. i think it was scripted this way and not for the reason of feminism.

I liked it, even though it felt like a 2 hour chase :)

I saw it at the drive in (first time in a long time for me) paired with Furious 7.

One question for those who saw that I did not understand stand. What was the reasoning for the "blood bags"?

Think that was the point of it. Over the top simply because.

  18. My son took me to see this tonight. I went in expecting "another" Road Warrior. I wasn't disappointed, it pretty much is.

The visuals are amazing. Almost stunningly beautiful. Even the little things most people don't pay attention to.

I really like that the music and sound effects don't drown out what little dialog there it.

Pay attention to the vehicle designs. Lots of crazy stuff going on with them.

    Oh and hot women.
