I purchased and just got in an ATI stock for a 995 HiPoint 9mm carbine. the 995 is an older version.

I was inspecting the stock and looked in the mag well and saw it was closed half way up the well by a flange/web of plastic.

Is this normal. Looks like I can remove it a little at a time to get a snug mag fit. I tried to call ATI and could only find an email address for them. I did email them, but thought I would ask here to see if any one here knew about this issue.

I did try a magazine and it would not fit.

Left: Looking down from top
Right: Looking up from bottom (that bump is the mag release protruding on left side of magwell)
