Just a follow up photo of the mystery spring I had mentioned yesterday,

Please find attached photo of the magazines and note the top spring of the 4.
It may not have made it to the process step for winding it up at the follower, having 2 extra loops but not the narrow tail to fit the follower.

E-mailed [email protected] with a heads up..........

The mags are a fairly common source of problems with the HP's.
From inverted springs to backwards I the follower.
    I'm not surprised.

Except no one knows which way inverted is. Or if it even matters.

    Well 'scuse me your highness.....
The bottom of the mag is flat and the follower is angled so me tinks it would make a difference of the spring has an angled end and a straight end.

    But then again.....if you're not right you're left ;)

I think the correct way is with the "short" end of the spring on the follower and the "long" end on the battery pack. Inverted would be the other way around, right?

And to think nobody believed me when I said all but one of my .40 mags came with an extra turn in the spring that I had to clip to make them run right...

You can think all you want based on how it looks. That don't make it correct.

OK, so what have we learned from all of this kids? Never, ever take the friggin mag apart !!! (unless you drop it in the mud, in which case you must pay very close attention to its orientation during disassembly)

Na. The first few years I had it, I had to play, got to know it real well. Now I just ride it til it needs something, then fix it.
