Note to self..... Don't sell a gun without having another on hand, loaded....

Another note - no ammo where I clean or otherwise work on weapons.

Dude got caught two days later, what a moron. You cant get away with stuff like that anymore, especially if you meet somebody in public.

He went to a deal with someone he wasn't a good friend with to sell a gun to the other guy's friend, AND got in to the buyer's car, AND went to the guy's apartment? He was begging to get robbed and/or killed.

Additional note to self: Bring better back up.

I always put a pit bull or two in the truck and keep a window down. Most folks won't even come near the truck when they see the dog's heads hanging out the window staring at them.

Meet where there are cameras, like outside an indoor range, and let the idiot figure out how to clean it himself. I haven't gotten a demonstration on my guns, why should he?

I just sold a firearm in my home about two weeks ago. The first one in a long time and probably the last. When the buyer showed up, I had my Bersa. holstered. The buyer showed up with a ccw on his person. We both got a laugh out of that. Can't be too careful these days whether a private buyer or seller.

Kinda off topic but a friend I work with wants a 1911 in 9 mm. I am meeting him next week at Academy to have the sales guy show him the RIA's. He doesn't trust gun salemen. BTW he is retired army E-8 and that is why he wants a 1911.

Just asking the buyer(online ads) to bring ID should weed out a lot of this kinda thing

Last time I sold Face-to-Face, I did so in the local PD parking lot.

Last time I bought was in a Lowe's parking lot.

Any time I buy or sell Face-to-Face, I'm packing.

I also get the Driver's License from the other party and make a BOS.

    Peace favor your sword,

I STILL haven't gotten to the range with that carbine. Bought lots of ammo for it though :)
