I buy and love to shoot a very cheap kind of monarch that is not brass cased like the military ammo, It shoots good in my gun and I have a taurus pt111 9mm that wont hardly shoot winchester white box. but eats these UP!
Green casings are most likely steel cased, of Russian manufacture. Wolf, Monarch, or one of the "Bears"(gold, silver, etc) They are laquered to resist moisture and corrosion and last a very long time in bad environmental conditions. They are a lot more practical than brass cased ammo in many ways, but not if you're a reloader.
Quality control and consistency from round to round will be considerably less than american commercial manufactured ammo, but I doubt you'll get a dud round. Russians know how to make reliable stuff.
