Note this is on a law enforcement magazine. Robber (with history of robbing in the past) displays gun. Store employee defends himself legally. Store has very nebulous weapon policy. And....the family of the deceased is outraged. My guess is their feelings are less about their dear departed and more about the $lawsuit money they're about to get in an out-of-court settlement. https://www.lawenforcementtoday.com...saying-he-shouldnt-have-had-a-weapon-at-work/

The store's lawyers will most likely argue that future employees should NOT be armed. And they'll quietly dismiss the employee. I just hope the employee gets rehired somewhere else. He sounds like a good guy....works hard...shows up to work on time....doesn't make a lot of money....but didn't want to DIE in order to support his family.

Do not rob a store and you will very likely not get shot. People like this do not get it. Normal people work for living and do not rob or steal from others. Provide goods or services others want or need and people will pay you money.

AAAANNNDDD the sister says maybe she will [should] take maters into her own hands, cut off quickly? Sounds like a threat
Let her. Hopefully the next employee is also armed. One 50 cent bullet in her sibling saved us $40k annually in prison costs plus drug rehab. Unless people believe that this guy was going to turn himself around and become a surgeon-like my coworkers who believe in unicorns! The sister would be a bonus!

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

But you know, Roosevelt was turning his life around, he just needed money for new school clothes.
Don't forget he also sang in the church choir and always stole a Mother's Day card for his mom each year! We misunderstood him, you see. He fell in w the wrong crowd. Ever notice that the "wrong crowd" has a large population but their sons are never IN the wrong crowd.
