I want to remove the front iron sight since I am using a optic. Is there a muzzle comp/brake that will notch into the lower rail like the the front sight dose? There is about 1" of barrel plus abut 1/4" of notch.

Remove the post, leave the ring, go with the clamp on brake. Or split the stock and remove the rail and run it naked.

Yep, I recall seeing the remove post option a few years back. With such a world wide demand I thought there might be cool $$$ option out there.
