My first Hi Point and range report

  1. I finally took possession of the Hi Point C9 that I bought off Gunbroker. After checking it out in person I don't think it's nearly as ugly nor as heavy as some people say. Actually its no heavier than my Ruger P95. One of my excuses for getting a C9 is to shoot up some of the mass quantitys of ammo that the Ruger won't shoot. I have about 1000 rounds of Russian steel case and gunshow reloads that the Ruger gags on and all I have read on the C9 is that it shoots it all.
Well I went to the range today and fired 200 rounds of crap ammo and some wwb and had ONE ftf at about round 180. I have two different magazines and they both fed just fine and the thing will put them all in the black if I do my part. To say I'm stoked would be a huge understatement.
These are without a doubt the best $130 firearm out there (but don't tell anybody ok). Also the recoil seems much less than the Ruger also.
    Oh well, had to share

  2. Glad to hear that you had a great time, I use the steel cased russian ammo also, and am surprised to hear that other weapons dont like to shoot it.

  3. Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the group. My C9 loves the Wolf steel case. Also, thanks for the Hi-Point porn.
