My latest find on Auction Arms brought me this very clean Czech VZ24 Mauser in 8mm. Fairly happy with this one except for a seock issue that the seller didn't mention. I just contacted him over it and hope we resolve it peacefully so I don't have to flame him on every board I can find. It is in shape to be a great shooter though, just wish he hadn't of misrepresented it in his description, I am hoping it was just an oversight though as the guy has a superb rating of over 500 positive transactions. I will keep you posted.

That looks great, and the wood is in amazing shape.

I have been eying these up at SOG and AIM. They are large ring correect, but do they use the long or short action?
the wood looks great from those angles but the entire stock is now in the trash, multiple cracks throughout the middle of the stock and globs of epoxy holding the damn thing together. I contacted the seller on auction arms and he agreed to refund me $100 since he didn't mention any of that in the description. It uses the long action btw.

I already have 2 stocks on the way, I found one on ebay for $25 from a guy I have bought many things from and trust and then I bought a "new" one from Sarco. I have heard that the SOG VZ's are in pretty good shape with normal ground crests on the receivers but all in all in pretty good condition. I plan on picking up 2 more from SOG when I get back from florida next week. I have another KKale Turkish Mauser ariving today from another auction and hopefull it will not have any hidden surprises.
