I recently purchased a used Remington 710 in a 30-06 for $250. At a local pawn shop. I have delt with the Remington model 700 and the 7400 and the 742 but never the 710 30-06 until here recently. And so far it's gives good 4 shot grouping performance at 300 yards shooting 165g to 150 grain bullets using a cheap Bushnell 3-9x40 scope i bought at the pawn shop as well. Any feedback from anyone else is much appreciated.

I had a Model 710, in .30-06, about nine or ten years ago. It came with the Banner scope on it. I had it for a few years, then sold it to one of my older brothers.

It was a decent 1.25 MOA rifle, and did prefer the 165-180 grain bullets best...didn't shoot 150's that great, about 2" groups at 100 yards. It liked the 180 grain Core-loc pretty well. Like I said, I could never quite get MOA out of it, but close.

Wasn't the 710 the polymer reciever version? I have no opinion....just wondering.
