I had my eye on a Colt Series 90, LGS#1 but I waited... gone :wah:
DA/SA and it was a 4.25" barrel, stainless, sweeet Piece! Price was
RIGHT! but the on-OFF nature of
my work was kicking in... :(

Is that the MIL or GI version? Did it come with a 8 round mag? RKguns has the MIL version for $300 right now. CDNN has 10 round for $15 and 15 rounds for $23. Don't forget the 28 round drum mag too!

  7. It is not a GI, milspec GI's come with a spur hammer. Not sure about the current Marine issue, but they come with a pic rail. I would guess his gun falls into the tactical category.

  12. GI stands for government issue, the current GI has a pic rail, so it is not past, or current GI. They may like to call it that, but it is not. Government 1911's must meet military specifications for acceptance, hence the correct use of the terms milspec, and GI.

These are both GI, and milspec.

Yes, I was referring to the manufacturer models.

ReCover Tactical makes an aftermarket picatinny rail/grip for 1911's.

They have a matching holster and the grips come in 3 colors.

That right there is Tacticool as all get out, but I don't care, I kinda like it.

Looks like a solid way to mount a light without having to permanently modify the gun.

And a matching holster to boot?

That is one of the coolest things iv'e seen in awhile! Totally transforms the look of your 1911, and for 30 bucks! And it adds functionality as well.

Ive done some research on them. They seem well built. Dont know if they work well on a commander frame though

Scored 8 more mags. 6 usgi mags, a colt and a no-name. Plus 3 extra springs and 3 followers.
