I kept my mouth shut until I got my delivery. I had back ordered from Midway 2 .45 carbine mags. A few days ago I got an email from them telling me they ran out but were going to ship 1. I cancelled the order and went to these guys http://gunmagwarehouse.com/ instead as they had oodles of the .45's in stock. They were cheaper on the price. No choice on the shipping. Placed the order on the 27th, I got a tracking number on the 29th, today on the 31st MrMailman brought them 2 day priority USPS.

    I ordered 2-9's, 2-.40's, and 3 .45's I saved $12 over Midway's price. Shipping was $14.99

I don't have a .45 carbine so testing the mags will commence in the JHP45 today. ;)

I was very pleased with their performance. Neat having a 14rd .45!

One of the 9mm mags I bought last week would not feed at all. Turned out I had lost count and stuffed 17rds in it. It worked fine afterwords.

I was gonna call you. The judge won't allow it since the stalking charges were filed. :(

That's where I store mine after too many issues with them.

  11. My proMags work great. I trimmed about 1/8" off the plastic piece that sits in front of the bullet and then angled it slightly so the nose of the bullet would ride up and over it if it came into contact with it, a slight tweak on the lips of the mag and they work wonderfully.

  12. Thanks for the links. I have two 32 round pro mags for my xd9 subcompact, the first one worked flawlessly but the second one had issues. I sent the second one back since they offer a lifetime warranty. I have not shot it yet but it will load more than ten rounds now without the follower going all wonky and the rounds don't just fall out when I turn it upside down. I wouldn't trust my life to promags but they are fun to play with at the range.

it's funny Ma has the same warranty, people don't mind. Yet the cheapy ProMags have to be perfect.

I tried to load JHP's and had some problems. next trip to the range I will try again. It's hard to find bulk JHp's locally.

  14. I'm just going to try one myself. Heck, people have said to stay away from Hipoints and Taurus handguns - have both and they all work just fine.

Thing is, a magazine is a pretty important part of a semi automatic gun. I trust Tapco mags despite their low cost but I'll pass when it comes to Promag brand mags. Their stocks are pretty nice IMO though.

I agree. One of the .40 mags needs a whack when I release the bolt to feed the first round. That's mag #4. I started a log book. I am thinking if there is any doubts I can order some Wolff extra power springs for the 15rd 1911 mags. I have 2 32rd Promag Glock mags. I cured them with a spring swap. I do need to order some HP factory followers for the 40, and 45's. Using the HP follower allows loading 16rds in the PM. Who knows it may allow 15 in the .45. ;)
