This is in correlation about the surviving member, and Danny Dietz's statue that got lost in the old forum :(

I can think of a few more who also deserve the award. Sadly his family will not get him back, just a medal. It can never replace him but they can hold their heads up a bit more and know the Goverment acknowledged his sacrifice. Thank You to another American Hero . I think this song says it all...... even to this day

At our last warrior call, we had one of the guys that served with that Unit here at Holloman, and he told us about that firefight. That was some intense stuff. He wasn't with the team when it happened, but he knew each and every member of that unit. Sad stuff.

As a vet, I am always proud of everyone who serves and sadened by those who do not come back.

Currently I have two sons in the military, oldest is in the Navy and the youngest in the Army. My youngest will be deploying to Iraq in Dec.

I thought it was touching that during the award presentation George w was wearing dog tags that had been given to him by the family.
You couldnt see them because they were under his shirt, so you know he didnt do it for politcal gain. You could tell that that act alone meant alot to the Mother.
