Well, I'm buying a 995 from a fellow here on HPFF, bu he's run into some issues with the USPS. Do you all know of any regs he can print out, or perhaps a way to ship semi-incognito without getting in trouble? Of course, he's shipping it to an FFL so it should be legit. Why are they giving him problems? I just want my gun!

Shipping a firearm thru the mail is ALWAYS a hassle better to pay that little extra and ship it by Fed Ex or UPS. Forget the crappy US Mail

I have no problem at my Post office...ship regular rifles/C&R rifles all the time...they don't even ask anymore.

The regs are right up on the wall...

The best way to do it is you get a signed copy of your FFL shop's license...
You mail it to the guy you bought the rifle from from...
He in turn shows the license to the person at the USPS desk when he mails the rifle....
It goes to your FFL and you pick it up there...

If USPS insists on giving him a problem UPS will gladly ship it for around the same cost (Around $25)
