last week my move to Alaska was off to a rough start at the canadian entry in washington state. i was basically interrogated and threatened because of my tattoos and the fact that i had a CWP in my old state and because i had ammo for which i had no firearm. i have a 3 percent 1776 tattoo and a Molon Labe tattoo as well as many others and was questioned over and over for two plus hours on current and prior “extremist” and “gang” affiliations. to which i have none . my wallet was torn apart i was made to open my phone and they looked at texts and messaging, as well as made to strip down to look for other tattoos , for which i had to provide a meaning. i was forcefully reminded that i had no rights in either country while in the inspection area . i was genuinely scared for the first time in a long while . they tore all my meager belongings out as well as continuely asked about other firearms i owned and telling me over and over that they knew i had some hidden because as a CWP holder i couldnt feel safe without a handgun. it was mind blowing , as well as eye opening. i have never been so glad to get out of a place in my life . the US crossing in beaver creek was the most beautiful sight ive seen . i had one shotgun, for which i had downloaded the declaration form and three boxes of shells , three boxes of 30/30 and a box of 9mm . i hate to paint a blanket picture of anything , but screw canada . ill never set foot there again.
