And was just told it has a rare wingmaster walnut stock that is going for $120 all day long on ebay. Now I can sell that and go full tactical for less than $200 total : )
I love guys selling their parents guns and not knowing what they had!
Keep the stock. Like everyone else is saying the gun is worth alot more with it on. I have a 1972 Wingmaster that has the same stock and it truly is beautiful. If you want a different stock set, look at the old wooden police 870 stocks. They are sweet.
i like wood on classic shotguns. my ancient Browning Citori and the little less ancient BPS have the most beautiful wood on them. keep it and change to tacticool, i have a remmy 870 wingmaster with all the bells and whistles as well as a mossy. they are fun, but too hard to hunt upland birds with!!
Took a little trip to cabelas today to buy the new hp carbine only to find out they were sold out and there were 62 people on the waitin list to boot! So to cheer myself up I bought a heatshield, stock shell caddy, and some 00 buck shot. I'll post up pics tomorrow. I'm loving the walnut, don't plan to change much else besides a sling and maglite.
