i plan on ordering a charging handle, sight rail, aluminum trigger, and flash suppressor from bushman. Any other mods you think i should get? One day I was BSing with Jim on the phone and asked him if there were any new issues with the Hi-point carbines that should be aware of. He said there was one and that he was seeing a lot of carbines coming in for service that have metal eroded off the bottom of the bolt. He said that it was being caused by an increase in spring pressure from the 15 round mags and that the top round was scrapping metal off the bottom of the bolt as it rode over the top round in the mag.say what?huh?What does the bottom of your bolt look like after a 15 mag?
i gotta call bs on that. what's the bolt made off? butter? the bolt when traveling rearward to eject the round has to go over a full magazine that's under spring pressure. if there's enough pressure to wear the bolt, it should be enough to seize the bolt completely.One day I was BSing with Jim on the phone and asked him if there were any new issues with the Hi-point carbines that should be aware of.
