Kirk, I agree, most people are looking for more capacity, even if it is a single stack. Hellcat is the only one out of the bunch that isn't an X or XL for additional capacity. It's just amazing how they got that many rounds in a single stack. The next would be the X and XL options, aka Glock 43 and Sig P365. So now the Glock 43XL is a glorified G19 just thinner...
All the others are 6/7/8 +1 capacity.
Lets see we have(not a complete list but most popular):
1. Sig P365/X/XL/SAS etc...
2. Glock 43/X/XL
3. Springfield Hellcat
4. Ruger LC9
5. Kel Tec PF9
6. Walther CCP
7. S&W M&P Shield
8. Springfield XD-S
9. Kahr PM9
10. Mossberg MC1
11. Savage Stance
So the Savage offers a 10 round (extended base) mag, it may move them up the list if it adds capacity without really adding a ton of length to the grip.
I like the looks and wouldn't mind taking it for a test drive though. There will always be a spot for single stacks, but the market has s ton of options out there, but then again double stack wise there are even MORE options, so maybe we are reading this wrong and it will be a strong contender.
