Picked up my new conceal carry firearm. Been carrying the C9 for over a year. Figured i would get myself an early birthday present. A Springfield XD 40 subcompact.

Will carry with 12rd mag probably.

Taking to range in morning an shoot off some rounds.

Very nice! Please post a range report. I am interested in how snappy it is. Interested in one myself.

  3. I just bought a S&W MP Bodyguard 380 carry at work. Still loving my HP 45...

    Hey, twins!:p
I also have the Taurus PT140 and while it carries better, the XD-SC shoots nicer.

Well took it out and shot 150 rds through it.

Mags - wow the springs are strong. Luck it comes with speed loader. Last couple rds hurt thumb if you dont use, and still last couple are hard.

Sights - i liked the nice bright white sights, easy to ser.

Trigger - once I got use to first pull having about 1/4" to 3/8" pull, at least it felt like it, shot pretty good.

Carry - with 12rd mag in, seems lighter then C9 with 9 rds in. Feels ok behind back.

Overall, I think its a good gun. Came with case, 12rd and 9 rd mag, belt holster, belt mag holder, speed loader, cleaning brush and cable lock. Springfield has a deal for 2 mags and bag if bought before 12/31/15, so will get them also. Not bad for $511.00 out the door.
