New hire at work had an EDC bag that I liked. It was a small black molle tactical style sling bag with a main pocket. a front pocket, and a slit pocket. It has a concealed carry pouch on the back and a hidden pouch behind the shoulder strap.
Decided I wanted one. Found it on Amazon for $12.50 and next day delivery. I probably would of preferred a black or tan one, just to avoid the military look and stay "gray man", but I had a couple of green molle pouches looking for a place, so I ordered a green one. The pouches were an exact match. And I was impressed with the quality, especially for the price. The material I would say is about the equivalent of 600D. It has what looks to be a rubberized lining. There is a lot of single stitching, but a double row of stitching at stress points. The zippers are robust, and there are grommeted drain holes in the bottom of each pouch. The hardware is plastic and gives the impression of durability. There is a D ring on either side at the bottom to allow your choice of left or right shoulder carry. As an alternative you can remove the strap entirely, you can then hand carry, or there is an attachment point if you want to belt carry.
I have mine loaded out as follows. The main pouch carries a collapsible umbrella, my glasses case, a water bottle, a boo-boo kit, a space blanket, and a collapsible cup. There is still a bit of room left over.
The small front pouch carries ready to eat food that does not require cooking and flavored electrolyte mix for water. While the zippered slit pouch carries my diabetes log. with an ink pin secured in the molle webbing.
The left pouch houses all my medicines along with a glucose meter, blood pressure meter and oxygen meter, while the right is my electronics pouch and houses my chargers, charging cables and charging bank. My I-Pad mini lives in the back slit pocket.
I have carried this for 2 weeks now and have decided that it is my favorite sling pouch. I will be ordering a tan one for EDC and turning this one into a dedicated fishing bag.
