Greetings! I'm a new member from Ohio. Been lurking here a while. Decided to join because the more I learned the more questions I had!
I am sort of a gun noob- shot friends guns and such. Bought my first pistol a few months back (C9) and am really enjoying it!! Going to the range and such.
I am hoping to learn a lot, soon. I have a backlog of questions.
    Cheers :D

I don't know where you're at in Ohio, but if you're anywhere near Huber Heights (north Dayton), come on out to my Western Martial Arts club for an intro. We meet on Tuesday nights out of the Carport of Calamity (my garage) from 6-8. We're studying Tomahawk right now.

Oh, and "welcome to the asylum." (I beat Rach to it :) )

    Peace favor your sword,
    Kirk

Im in North Central Ohio. About an hour or so SW of Cleveland.

(Side note: wife & I were just outside watching two bald eagles circling overhead for 15 minutes. I think they were watching my chickens!)

    Thanks!
No, not close to Dayton, but I have been to Huber Heights.

My buddy Ken Pfrenger teaches WMA out of Andover, just a little west of Pymatuming.

Look him up. He knows what he's doing and teaches good stuff. Tell him I sent you. :)

    Peace favor your sword,

I know where that is, but its a long way East from here. The closest big town near me is Ashland.
    Whats WMA?

  9. Welcome! I have a C9 & Mosin rifle - love them both. My eldest son has the JCP40, along with a Mossberg pump 12 gauge & Heritage .22 revolver. Happy shooting!

In the middle- I know. I like it. It's quiet here in Fly-Over Country.
Used to live in the big city. Had to move. No big city is safe any more.

    WMA-Oh, I gotcha

yeah if you could moderator edit my first post in front of this one I'd look smarter instead of just like some guy who typed really slow while you were formulating a really long answer.

Whatever you do, don't watch Hickok45's videos. You WILL go out and buy something new in short order.
    I've bought an XDS 9mm, an M44 Mosin, a Tavor, a Goldenboiy, a 91/30 Mosin, a TP9(was part of a trade, actually), Ruger 10/22 takedown, and probably a couple more I can't remember

Here is the only .22 rifle I have; it's a Savage that is wicked accurate:

And my model 91/30 Mosin Nagant:

    Shoots straight.

I would love a 10/22, but was thinking the more practical route would be an HP carbine.....
