Me and my boyfriend just picked up our Mosins today, yay for the fun part of cleaning the moist nuggets! :p

We both got 1942 Izhevsk's.

Yep. Even has the "battle scars" which makes it even better.

It makes it more beautiful with them. It's really a shame to see many mosins mutilated. I know the supply is abundant, but I think the scratches, and the chipping shellac, gives it more character. They are very beautiful pieces of art. The condition is very surprising, but then again, these rifles will NOT fall apart xD

I agree 100%. I refinished my 1930 mosins stock with shellac. I lost the dark color and really miss it now. Now it's that orange color.
