I bought 2 Hi-Points without ever touching one. Picking up my C9 tomorrow and the 995ts next week.

I bought the C9 first, but after reading and watching reviews I figured the C9 is really only complimentary to their Carbines.

With that said, what kind of sight would you recommend? I want something that can help my wife just point and shoot if needed but I can use 100 yds down range, if that's even possible.

    Great Forum by the way!

  2. Welcome to the club.

You will love your new firearms. My best advise is to take them directly from the box, load magazine, and FIRE! Do not tweak, polish or file anything until you know there is something wrong.

Red dot scopes are great for point and shoot. Your eyes will be the factor at 100 yards.

    ENJOY!

LOL, IDK how you figured that the C9 was "complimentary" to the 995 actually...
The Mags do NOT Share, like on the 4095/JCP and the 4595/JHP combos.
But some have made out OK using the 995 mag in the C9, but report it is
a bit loose. Anyway, :welcome: to the Loony-Bin and I hope you LOVE the
    pair! I have a 995, but no C9. I do have the other 2 combos, 40 S&W and
45 ACP, Great BUDGET Firearms! Pistols and Carbines :D

OH, the setup I use on top of my 4095 is this:

MONSTRUM 4x30 Compact and I also used the UTG ultra-compact rear sight,
with a shortened front post (~5/16") and you can see under the Monstrum.
Amazon is where I got these.

I have a red/green dot on mine and really like it. Fairly cheap too.

If you want point and shoot with the ability to shoot long range sometimes, use iron sights with a 45 degree offset scope mount. Amazon sells them for about $20.

For a pistol caliber carbine a good red dot is all you need. I ditched the irons on mine.

That's the only way the 4595 comes.

Just put 50 rounds of Federal Aluminum 115gr FMJ through the C9. 20 or so missed the paper, but I guess accuracy comes with practice and time.

The C9 is a little hard to shoot compared to most other modern handguns, but if you master it, the others should be easy.

Some light sandpaper and a good cleaning/oiling of the right spots helps too but it's never going to (safely) have a 2lb target trigger.
