Just picked up a 995 carbine from a pawn shop. The guy there did nothing but bad mouthed the gun. It was hidden in the corner with just the butt stock showing and the 3 spring set up caught my eye. I asked to see it and he started in trying to get me to buy the Ruger pc.. I still wanted to look at the 995 as soon as I picked it up and shouldered I was done. I had to have it no clip no sights front or back. I ordered a mag and called to see how much sights would be from MOTHER.. and she took care of us sending me new sights new bolt the sling tool kit and manual.. WoW that's all I can say.. good to be a Hi-Point owner. Impatiently waiting for my order and sights to get here...

But....new bolt? Do you mean the "bolt" or do you mean the sling swivel, or charging handle bolt?

I think Mom meant bolts but she did say bolt.. My 995 didn't have the London bridge or fronts just that God offal scope with no cross hairs or magnification. It's just a tube to look through.. it was also listed on there web site as not having a charging handel but it does idiot's didn't know it was on the left side and they had the gun. Then they bad mouth HP.. I really won't know till my xmas day package opening.. hopefully that's soon..

It hasn't. Some people just think they know more than they know.

You can. They're wobbly and prone to over insertion. You cannot use C-9 mags in a carbine without some parts swappimg.

It never changed. Mom just tells you not to do it b/c they're tired of replacing mags for folks that slam their carbine feed lips into the slide.

Iet's be honest, a lot of red dots..... work about as well off as they do on.

I'm going to have to differ w/ that. Marksmanship scores in the Army went up switching to optics from irons, and most of the optics issued were red dots.

The red dots I was referring to weren't the ones the Army uses.
