Ordered some rails for my Keltec Sub2000 about a week ago, after seeking a custom rail for an AR forend, but I had found a universal rail that was pretty much EXACTLY what I needed, for dirt cheap, so I did not order from Jerry & Melanie. (owners of Longshot) Since they were so gracious, and worked hard to figure out and make a way for me to get them the specs needed for the custom, I decided this was the perfect time to get my Suby Rails. Jerry was right on it, answered the Q's I had and I placed the order. Full set of SUB2000 rails, brushed aluminum. BINGO!
I was going to call tomorrow for a tracking #, but I got this email TONIGHT:

They BOTH worked very hard on my order, to make it happen! I am doing it a bit "out of the box" like I usually do, and I had Several Questions! All were answered cheerfully and promptly. I will definitely use Longshot Rails on my HP Carbines! :D I will add pix to this thread when I get the rails on the Suby! But for now, here is my rail set, including the NEW Custom 8" bottom rail, the undeRGRound Special Bottom Rail! (my name for that, but hey, LS can use it!) :D

    Thanks Melanie and Jerry!

I was thinking about using 3 rails, 5" bottom, 2 - 4" sides, because the Suby
has NONE! So I ordered the top rail in case I changed my mind, not sure how
I will run this. They made the 8" bottom rail due to our email conversations.
I will be the tester fr that! :p @Plano Steve :p

    :D

    Mall Ninja MY A$$!

Mole is getting rather defensive. So these are for the Keltec? I have never really taken a good look at one, and the last one I saw the hinge was broken on it.

now, the question is....what do you like better, the sub2000 or the hi point 995ts.

I've been looking at these. Since I have butt loads of Glock mags? I would buy one that takes what I already have. Then the next question is .40 or 9?

    Will they handle +P?

    Do they have LRHO?

I've shot both. Bought the 995 for my father and the Sub2K for myself.

The 995 shoots a more gently and has better stock sights than the Gen 1 Sub2K. The subby, otoh, folds, doesn't use a ZAMAK breech-block, is shorter & more maneuverable, and accepts magazines with a capacity > 10.

I like the subby better. My wife likes the 995 better.

You know you will end up breaking it and they don't send free parts. So I will be nice and only charge your $125 an hour plus parts and materials.

Which mags? Beretta or Glock? Which flavor of caliber? And does it have LRHO?

    Welll...
I have all the currently available HP carbines.
    The Suby is a 40 S&W. I have:

    1. Factory 10 round mag :(
    2. 2 Beretta 96 20+ round ProMags (Both work Great!)

For capacity, it's the Suby. For compactness and folding, too.

The HP not only shoots better, a bit smoother (more weight) and ergonomics are better. Sights, ability to modify (HP has RAILS!) and cost all favor the HP. But I got my Suby for $285 otd, which is almost HP pricing. I could have had another Suby, for the same price, but it was the exact same model
Once I get these rails, it will be a bit more "even" ;)
I doubt I will ever sell either one.

    See above ;)

    Waldo is a Douché

Manual "seems to suggest: +P is OK, it's referred to in the text and a chart that shows a 9mm +P having the same overall power as a 357 Magnum out of a short barrel. Rippy-Redux? :D
