Hells bells, when I was 18 I was fingerprinted and actually investigated by the FBI to receive a Secret clearance in the Army because my job required me to have that clearance.

I didn't fuss about it then, and cant see what the big deal is now.

They (feds and local) want to make sure that you are who you are, with the nut jobs running around these days, do you blame them?

In my case the FBI contacted friends and family and people in my past and verified who I was and if I was of good character.

They probably do not go that far for a CCW permit, but surely they have some method of positive ID?

Yes it is, that forum and this one are my two favorite forums.

One thing about this forum though, the mods really do not like to see things get out of hand like they let it over at the saiga forum.

Over there the mods join in on the fun LOL
