Those are both pretty reasonable states for gun purchases and Federal law does allow you to buy long guns out of your own state. If you travel at times to TN and there's no FL law preventing it, just go with you uncle to a gun store local to him and do an FFL transfer on the rifles and shotguns in TN. If you phone around a bit you may even find someone who will give you a price break for multiple guns; maybe they'll give you a break on shipping multiple handguns to FL because the handguns will still have to be sent to an FFL in your state of residence. My uncle has dozens of rifles and pistols that his brother had left behind when he passed (without a will).
He lives in Tennesse and does not want them. So he would like to send them to me little by little. What I want to know is if that's legal? I live in Florida so our laws are pretty leniant but I don't know about him shipping them to me. Is it legal?
