But it was not very bold. I just got out of my car to pump gas. I was pretty nervous. Then I had occasion to go into the gas station for change and I chickened out and put it away before I went in. I don't know where guys get the balls to do this all the time.

Colorado. Open carry is allowed everywhere except the City of Denver. I was in another city, but I was literally right on the line between Denver and Aurora. If I had crossed the street, I'd be in Denver. So I was a little nervous about it.

I have open carried a few times in my town, only when we take our daily walk with the dogs. For the most part our area of town is pretty safe. But on those occasions when we are out walking after dark is when I will OC. until I get CC permit, I am using a small kel-tec .32 i bought for my wife for OC

takes a little while, but you get used to it. when you work up the nerve, redo the wally walk this time oc. its amazing how many people dont notice or really dont care. i will say your attitude and dress will make a huge difference in the way your treated by the public when you oc.

thanks for the encouragement. before I do it again though, I am going to get a real holster. I was using that crossman holster because I was on my way home from the range.

i wasnt even gettin anywhere near the thug look, all i have to do is wear my hat backwards and the attention increases. i meant if oc makes you nervous try to "blend in " better with your surroundings, it might make you more comfy with less people staring. carry like it was meant to be there, dont touch it, adjust it, just forget it. confidence is everything.
i oc everywhere, WM included. its legal to oc anywhere in GA, the law does not specify oc or concealed. it does require you have a GFL and to use a holster if concealed.

I'll admit I was a little nervous about the actual act of OCing, but what I meant before was that I was nervous about being so close to the city of Denver boundary. You never know what a cop might do when you are that close to the line.

Everyone is nervous the first time they OC, I'm sure. I'm not concerned about that, I know I will get over it.

as for the thug thing.... well.....

Actually, I probably don't look like your typical OC'er. I'm not a thug, but I don't exactly look like I'm coming straight from church.
