So I walk into work, normal day. But after what happened, it was kinda impossible to have a bad day there. All seem normal, slow day people just kinda sitting around cause there's nothing to do. (flashback time). For about a year, until this past Monday, a guy worked there that everyone really disliked. Lazy, good for nothing, unreliable, will sit there while you work then call you lazy when you don't help him with something. Surprising how he somehow was employed there for a long as he was. They finally got rid of him. Well, most of us are sitting at the counter up front cause there is NOTHING to do and were all bored starting at each other. Well a lady walks in the store, and asks for Chris there warehouse manager. Nothing to think of, some customer that had a problem with something wanted to speak with the manager. No........... It was the guys mom to come chew the manager out for firing her son. Saying things like he fired him cause he don't like him and all that kinda stuff. I have no clue how the manager was able to hold back from laughing. I would have laughed in her face. I can see why the guy was the way he was. Your 24 and having you mommy take care of things for you...... Yeah. FAIL

Score one for the mommies of the world. I think it's about time for that dude to pop the breast out of his mouth and stand on his own 2 feet.

real question is did he fail? or did mommy and daddy fail him? I am ashamed of our generation. Not to brag but i am 25, have a degree, and have served proudly in the U.S. ARMY. I am married, with a beautiful baby boy. I see this way to often in my line of work. People now a days cant accept any responsabillity and have no work ethic. our generation is destin to be the down fall of this country. Just my 2 cents.

(and yes i know it sounds like i am on a ego trip but damnit i am proud of my life as my wife and i have earned everything we have!)

Did anyone ever stop to think that maybe this guy had no idea his mom even went there to say anything? I like to give people the benefit of doubt. People these days are always so quick to judge without knowing the whole story. Did he deserve to lose his job if he indeed was lazy as the OP stated? Of course he did, but that's the only thing about the story I'm gonna place judgement on.

Funny thing is, me and another guy would joke that his mom would come up there and do what she did. Little did we know.....it would actually happen. I too like to give people the benefit of the doubt. But um this guy, I wouldn't. Hes a grade A spoiled little.........you know what I'm getting at. You think we laughed about joking that something like that would happen. Imagine how much we do now. And I usually am against laughing at someone behind there back. But this guy deserves it. Though I would laugh in his face if I could. XD

It sounds to me as if this guy's mom is mad and afraid that he might be moving back home and into the basement.
I know you say that he has an apartment that his parents pay for but, with no income that apartment might come to an end (no food, no utilities, etc.).
Perhaps his parents helped with the apartment in order to get him out of the house in the first place.
