I ordered a 995TS yesterday and am looking forward to it coming in Tuesday! I've got a larger roller kit, forend grip, rubber grip and extra magazine on the way as well.

Welcome to the Fold!

The 995 has been a very consistently "most accurate" carbine, but also the best seller.
IMO any HP carbine can be very accurate, but you have got to make it your own, find the best ammunition it likes, get your optics dialed in, Yada-Yada

We had one guy here with a pair of 995TS and was pretty regularly getting 2moa groups @100yd. Using 9MM NATO. So that'd be kind of the goal, I'm sure you can get pretty close!! Maybe even exceed that. Here's to your future success with HP! (y) (y) (y)

Enjoy the process. It can be addictive. One word of caution - we get a lot of guys ordering spring kits fro one manfacturer that are designed to lighten the trigger. This replacement has the potential to turn your carbine into a Class 3 most ricki-tic. If you're considering THIS mod - DON'T. Tons of posts and a couople of threads here to explain in detail. Oh, welcome to the zoo

Great Choice!
No muss, no fuss, range ready, always goes bang, extremely minimal cleaning / maintenance. Customize it to make it uniquely yours ... and take histed's advice: no trigger spring kits.

For what its worth, mine has been fed a steady diet of Blazer Brass 5200 9mm 115gr FMJ since day one and has always been flawless.

Congratulations

I saw that info right before I started to order a spring kit last night! Thanks very much.

Could you please direct me to his posts? My grouping is way worse than 2 MOA at 100 yards (with a RDS), and would love to get close to his grouping size.

Old Outlaw. He is no longer with us. A red dot isn't really a 100yd optic for accuracy.

Thanks. I will do a search.

Sorry to hear he is gone.

He got banned for being a cunt, and he was shooting off a sled.

I can get sub 2" groups at 50 yards with open sights from my old 995. There is 10 shots in that target.

That's great! I'm calling the guys in a little while to see if I can pick mine up today.
It's doable. Open sights at 50y with my 4095. Those were 2" bulls... maybe 3"?

I've got some targets with moa sized groups at 100y floating around here somewhere as well... I had a 3-9× on it though, so those don't count.

Just remember, ammo makes a difference. And I am not talking abut the cost of the ammo, it's just that some guns and some ammo work well together.
Same gun, same magazine (as in all 10 rounds were in at the same time), same 25 yards standing, unsupported.

That same HSM ammo shoots like a champ in my C9 Comp. You just never know.
4 shots adjusting the sights, then 6 in the center, 10 yards standing unsupported

At 50 yards with a RDS, often my first 5 to 6 shots land in a tight group (2-3"). However, if I continue shooting, the grouping can suddenly opens up. After 10 shots, the grouping can double in size.

That group from my 995 was from a rest and were rapid fire. As fast as I could get back on target I was pulling trigger. Used Remington 115gr fmj. My handloads get just as good maybe a bit better.

Congrats on your new 995TS, I bought mine when they first came out years ago and it has been a really fun and accurate gun to shoot. I put a M*Carbo trigger spring in it which helped and have had no issues whatsoever. Mine did display the notorious cheek sting but that was easily eliminated with some paracord.

Here is the initial 25yrd. sight in of the red dot using cheap Winchester white box ammo. As mentioned try several brands of ammo to find what ammo your carbine really likes.
