I went to the Palmetto Show and saw plenty of HiPoints in both pistol and rifle.

Prices weren't great, but I didn't ask for anything better than what they were marked. Usually they will come down at the shows.

There was some factory camo rifles there also.

The best deal was probably a monkey gun listed at $179 with no factory mag, just an aftermarket 'high capacity' as he put it. He asked me to make him an offer as he wanted to move it because it was a trade-in. I did't make an offer and forgot to get a card of his business to contact later.

$289 for the black carbines isn't a bad price to start for bargaining, really. $260 is a good online price, and the combination of shipping and FFL transfer fees can bring the price up too or a little beyond that level for the majority who don't have access to place with $10 fees or free transfers.

If you talked to the guy, you probably could get him to knock off $15 or $20, and you could walk away with a new carbine and a smile on your face.
