Picatinny rail on a jhp

Is that supposed to be a rail under the barrel on the frame? I can’t get anything to clamp on to it if so. I tried the number of lasers and lights they all slip off. I haven’t even tried using a scope ring. No luck. Is it for show only or what?

Sorry guys I ended up answering my own question. Apparently it’s a proprietary rail. They sell adapters for both the bottom rail and a top rail that replaces the rear sight for anybody else who is curious. The rail although it seems like it is bigger. Is actually smaller than the standard Picatinny size so don’t go filing it away and thinking that you’re going to make it fit.

We know. It's called a weaver-esque rail. They just ditched them on the carbines and went to pic rails. Supposedly the 2.0 pistols have pic as well. Not sure if any of our new JXP owners have confirmed.
there is a guy on ebay that sells a hi pint pistol rail that you epoxy on that is picatinny. seems to have sold a lot of them, reviews are pretty good
Eek epoxy rail I saw those. I don’t understand why someone would not make some type of adapter rail. Probably don’t want to get sued using the proprietary design.

Heard something like that about gm aftermarket fuel pumps I think. You can buy ‘em but you have to wire em in yourself due to a proprietary connection plug.

it would be nice if something slipped over there rail or clamped on then had a std pic rail under it.
