has anyone ever but picatinny rails on there factory stock? if so how is it done? :shock:

I LOVE the new Hi-point stock ! The ATI stock is crap and i don't like it i thin its kinda ugly but i guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder! And back to my origanl post i want to mount a Tac light to the under side of my stock like toward the front

Why do you need a rail that goes from the front of the gun to the back? You can only mount 1 sight at a time on it and with a scope mounted on it you couldn't put anything else on it or it block the scope. there is such a thing as too much . And all i want is may a 4" rail to mount UNDER the stock toward the front for a tac-light!

I would assume that the answer then is no, no one has rails on their stock stock.

Short of a radical reconstruction as suggested above, I really don't see how you'd mount them. You might as well just wait for the new stock to come out.

Easy ....a 4" rail 2 screws and a tap and die ! i aready looked at it and i can be done!

i know the stock has a split down the middle . My plan was to stager the screws 1 on one side and 1 on the other stagred . < Just like these 2 dots here

this is how i have mine.
I marked and predrilled holes off to the side, attached with metal screws and a dab of gorilla glue on the threads.

Now if you would have posted that pic three pages ago that would have answerd mt question! that is exactly what i wanted to do just like what you have!
