Trying to repay all the good folks here for all the good info and help. And no this is not depleted uranium.

If your looking for lead for casting try a local radiopharmacy. They often have lots of lead that they will give or sell to you. I get mine free but the local sell price is $0.10/lb for now, goes up and down.

The largest national chain is Cardinal Health nuclear pharmacy services. Check out their web site, www.cardinalhealth.com for a list of pharmacies. There are also other independant nuclear pharmacies. I'll leave the search for those up to you. As always found in human nature, some will work with you and some will be a-holes. Luck of the draw.

Let me know how it works out. Happy Hunting

Hmmm...Hadn't thought of them. I wonder how pure, or impure, their lead is. I'm really wanting to get into reloading and casting. I might check into this.

Thanks.

Broomhead,

It is very good for casting. I used to use the purer lead for casting for black powder. The alloyed stuff is good for smokeless pistol especially if lubed.
